Welcome to The STEM Exchange

Bringing together employers, young people
and teachers.

The STEM Exchange acts as a matching service, providing teachers and young people (aged 14 and over) with the opportunity to access face-to-face science, technology, engineering and maths experiences offered by employers.

It was established by not-for-profit engineering skills organisation Semta and originally commissioned by the Education and Training Foundation (ETF).

Showcase: Ryan Carey, Project Management Degree Apprentice, BAE Systems

At school we were just given two bits of advice. One, get a career. Two, go to university. There was little else outside the university route, so it was difficult to figure out just what to do next on your own. Think back to when you were a teenager.

Did you know, for sure, what you wanted to do when you left school? Did you have a clear sense of what the working world was like, and what employers were going to want from you?
